Tulips and Windmills

Here we go again. We are off to the land of Tulips and Windmills. This will be a blog about our trip to Amsterdam, Belgium, and Germany. The first part of our trip we are trying something new, a River Cruise. More specifically a Viking River Cruise that we have seen advertised on TV so much. It is a slow paced river cruise through the south of the Netherlands and the North of Belgium. Very different from the normal cruise ships we have taken. 

Joan was an exchange student and spent 1/2 a year in Amsterdam between High School and College. She had some awesome experiences and met some terrific people. So now she gets to show me around as we have 4 days in Amsterdam before we start our river journey. 

Once we complete that journey, we shall head to Mannheim, Germany to meet with our dear friend Lieselotte who is also Joan's German Sista of a different Mutha. I am really looking forward to that as she is taking us for a tour of the Rhine Fantasyland Castles then up into the BlackForest where I shall not be eating cake(don't do coconut, don't ask), and maybe, if I have been good, we will go to Stuttgard where the Mercedes Benz factory and museum is located.
