Today's cruise will be dockside

We have now been on the river cruise for 5 days. We have spent most of that dockside. The Agenda called for us to be dockside for the first two days to provide ample time to explore Amsterdam. Saturday at 4 am we were to leave for Hourn arriving at 9 am. When we awoke I commented how quiet the cruise was and no feel of motion like on the ocean liners. Joan looked outside and said "Well that's because we are still tied up at the dock!".

During Breakfast a bunch of buses showed up and we got the announcement that due to Fridays power failure, the lock between here and Hourn was not functioning. So they made the call to stay put in Amsterdam and bus us to our tours of Hourn. (Seperate update on those tours). The Hourn experience was great and we made it back and after dinner we finally set sail to Arnham. ( also seperate post).

Visit to Arnham was good and we looked forward to cruising the river.

We were to leave at 4 am and sail to the World Heritage Windmills arriving around non the next day. Well we didn't leave and are still sitting at the dock waiting for an update from the Captain about WTF is going on and when will we continue CRUISING!
